A native of Cote dâIvoire, Abdiel is currently a Principal Dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, performing many leading roles of Martha Grahamâs iconic repertory, including partnering prima ballerina Diana Vishneva in Grahamâs âErrand Into the Maze.â With the Martha Graham Dance Company, Jacobsen performs contemporary works by various artists including Nacho Duato, Robert Wilson, Luca Veggetti, Sonya Tayeh, Adonis Foniadakis, Michelle Dorrance, Richard Move, Doug Varone, Larry Keigwin, Bulareyaung Pagarlava, and more. He received a B.F.A. in dance from the University of the Arts and is a Certified Professional Ballroom and Latin dancer and instructor. Jacobsen has been featured in the National GNC campaign âRespect Yourselfâ and is also a guest artist with the Cecilia Marta Dance Company.
