Oyo Dance Company is seeking professional dancers and highly advanced dancers (hoping to be professional dancers) for our Second and First Company for the 2026-27 Season. The season runs from Sept 2026 – May 2027.
Dancers will train and utilize: Ballet (primarily Vaganova), Modern (primarily Graham), ballroom and latin dancing and cross-train with Pilates. We are seeking dancers with a strong work ethic, drive to continue to improve and push artistic limits as well as open to learning new techniques and styles. Dancers do not need to be proficient in all styles to audition.
1St Company
Oyo Dance Company dancers have class and rehearse 6 days a week, during the day for approx 3 – 5 hours per day. Rehearsals/classes are scheduled to allow for the dancers to work another job easily. 1st Company compensation includes a monthly stipend, shoes, professional development, performance and teaching opportunities.
2nd Company
Oyo2 (training company) has class and rehearses 3 – 5 days per week in the evening during the week and Saturday mornings for 2 – 4 hours per day. We have designed the schedule to allow for dancers to work at other jobs while still training, rehearsing and performing at a professional level. Oyo2 is a training scholarship position and offers training with the Company on certain days as well as performance opportunities with the Company, outreach performances and classes.
