ABOUT OYO DANCE COMPANY

Oyo Dance Company is a non-profit professional dance company that embodies diversity, acceptance, and cultural awareness. Oyo promotes appreciation of the art of dance through public performances and outreach, educational programs, and community activities. The Company maintains a diverse repertory through work with guest choreographers, master classes, and technical workshops.

COMMISSIONERS’ BENEFITS

Commissioning a work for Oyo Dance Company is an investment for the long term. Every time the piece is performed, the commissioner is:

- - Listed in the program
  - Thanked verbally from the stage
  - Featured on promotional materials specific to the commissioned work
  - During the commissioning season, commissioners also receive 1/4 page ads in programs for the season.

Sponsorship Levels

All choreographer commissions come with the benefits of general sponsorship of Oyo, in addition to specific commission benefits:

Education Sponsor
($7,500 to $14,999)

- - Recognition in performance programs and on Company web site
  - Verbal recognition at all performances
  - 4 complimentary season tickets

Underwriter
($3,500 to $7,499)

- - Recognition in performance programs and on Company web site
  - 2 complimentary season tickets

Costume Sponsor
($1,000 to $3,499)

- - Recognition in performance programs and on Company web site
  - 2 complimentary tickets to 2 performances of your choice

OUR AUDIENCE

Oyo’s regular season audience is well educated (more than 80% are college educated or higher) and economically comfortable (40% report making more than $75,000 per year). They are avid supporters of the arts and value businesses and organizations that support arts organizations.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

When you support Oyo Dance Company, you help Oyo’s efforts to bring dance to the larger community. Oyo sponsors performances for school children, workshops for community groups, and tickets for non-profits and social service organizations.

Oyo is intentional about nurturing diversity in the field of dance. Oyo actively recruits dancers and choreographers of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds, and selects themes, venues, and performance opportunities that address broader issues of social justice.
